This Hostal was amazing and wonderful!! It was clean, the location was excellent, we had 3 people and didn't have to sleep in bunk beds, it was an extremely safe and secure location AND we had a hotel style ensuite!!! The ensuite even had soaps, shampoo, etc for our use. It was about 2 blocks from Sol and a 5 minute walk from Plaza Mayor! If you stay here, you may never have to use public transportation (except to the airport) because the location is so central, you can walk everywhere!!! Our beds were made daily, new towels were always provided and it stayed nice and quiet to sleep. It even had air conditioning!! Hostal Marlasca gets two big thumbs up!!!!

Hotel staff were friendly (except for one extremely unfriendly, abrupt receptionist).
The TV in my room didn't work.
I had to ask for a remote control for the air conditioning.
That wasn't too bad, but I went to the bathroom about 3.00pm after checking in. I didn't lock the door but the handle won't let me open the door again. After 5 mins of frantically trying to open it unsuccessfully, I then tried to open it gently for another 5 minutes and eventually it opened.
It was a bit scarey cos there was no air conditioning or window in the bathroom.
However, I survived to tell the tale!!
