Description - Hostel

For visitors to Fife in Scotland, looking for informal, value-for-money accommodation with stunning views and a warm welcome, The Burgh Lodge is exactly the right choice.

Offering 4-star hostel-style facilities for up to 36 guests, it is a real alternative to bed and breakfast, caravan or camping. There is no curfew and guests may come and go as they please.

The Lodge has been substantially refurbished and its new roundel commands a magnificent view of the Lomond hills. The Lodge has the added bonus of being located centrally in the medieval town of Falkland.

How to get there

it takes between 45-50 minutes to drive to Falkland. From the airport, city bypass, or city centre follow the signs for the Forth Road Bridge (80 pence toll required). After crossing the bridge stay on the M90 north to junction 2a, the A92, signposted Kirkcaldy, Glenrothes and St Andrews. Continue on the A92 passing the Kirkcaldy and Glenrothes exits. After passing Glenrothes the A92 narrows to single carriageway before returning to a short stretch of duel carriageway. At the end of this stretch is a large roundabout, 'The New Inn Roundabout'. Turn left here onto the A912, signposted Falkland, which is approximately 2 miles.

Train Station stops at Ladybank and Markinch. Busese Aviliable from Glenrothes and Dundee and Perth. Local buses may vary, please ask for details
