Great place to stay! ... I spent there a few days relaxing. The owners and staff are amazing and very helpful. Breakfast was good, room was great. I loved the small size of the place - it was easy to get to know other travellers but also easy to find privacy, peace and quiet.

Description - Hostel

We are Diana and Ezequiel, a young couple passionate about travelling, meeting people and discovering new places and cultures. Many years after our first journey, having our backpacks full of experiences, we feel that the time has come to share with you what gave us so much delight and satisfaction during our journeys. In this way we passionately set up our traveler's refuge.

Extremo Sur Hostel is located on a typical narrow paving and quiet street in the historical neighbourhood called San Telmo, just 100 metres from Lezama Park, the place where Buenos Aires was founded for the very first time. Here and there you can see a special mixture of tango, history, memories, fairs, antique dealers and exciting nightlife. The most distinctive and attractive places are situated within walking distance, including the Obelisk, Plaza de Mayo, Plaza Dorrego, 9 de Julio Avenue, Puerto Madero, La Boca, and the pedestrian only Florida street.

The Hostel has a 20 bed capacity. Thanks to this, we can be aware of every single detail, paying attention to all of your needs; and you can enjoy a relaxed place for getting to know travelers like you. We offer dorms with individual lockers inside, as well as private rooms. Breakfast is included in our rates. Bathrooms are shared, new and clean, with 24 hour hot water availability. And the most remarkable thing is that here you will find people from all over the world with whom you will share your lodging, your nights out, and, maybe, even your next journeys. In order to make meetings possible and easy, there are nice common spaces such as the fully equipped kitchen, living room, patio and terrace. Finally, as we know that keeping in touch with the world is an essential matter, we provide you free internet access.

Our invitation is done, come over, we are waiting for you!

Neighborhood

Buenos Aires, capital city of Argentine Republic, is South America 's most important one, and one of the ten biggest megalopolis of the whole world.
Our Hostel is located in the historical neighbourhood called San Telmo, just 100 metres from Lezama Park, the place where Buenos Aires was founded for the very first time.
Nowadays San Telmo's historical value is the most important one among all other districts within Buenos Aires. It still keeps its original peculiarity which is showed throughout small colonial houses with traditional patios and narrow paving streets with lanterns. Here and there you can see a special mixture of tango, history, memories, fairs, antique dealers and exciting nightlife. You will always find bohemia, shows and exhibitions of several types and above all, a great cultural richness. San Telmo is a corner of the city that displays contrasts: romance and modernity, where it is possible the cohabitation of a famous artist with a maleva de barrio -tango's main character-; an Italian immigrant's son grocer with an avant garde design shop; and finally a sophisticated traveler with café's bohemia.
